Erasmus Exchange Program

Within the scope of the Erasmus Student Exchange Program, agreements are made with different universities in different countries, allowing our students to go abroad for 1 or 2 semesters. Likewise, students are also accepted from programs abroad within the scope of Erasmus. In this context, Hatice Simay Yeğen, one of the students of our department, was sent to the University of Bialystok Faculty of History and International Relations program in Poland as an undergraduate student in 2021-2022 academic year. Within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ Student Exchange Program, our department has bilateral agreements with the following countries among the current 30 countries:

Farabi Exchange Program

TOGU History Department has been exchanging students with most of the public universities in Turkey for many years. The Department of History supports this exchange in order for students to gain experience and study in a different environment and to benefit from the experience of different faculty members.

In this context, İhsan Karağoç, one of the students of our department, is given in the Farabi student exchange directive and sample in Evidence 2 for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Information on Farabi Student Exchange

    Student Exchange period covers a minimum of one and a maximum of two semesters.
    Higher education institutions provide full recognition to the activities of the educational period spent in the destination institution.
    Students can exchange with the Farabi Exchange Program once at each level of education. However, a student can be a Farabi Exchange Program student with scholarship only once and for one semester during his/her education life.
    Those who have the right to be a Farabi Exchange Program Student with scholarship are paid one and a half times the monthly scholarship amount that is paid to undergraduate students according to the Law No. 5102 on Granting Scholarships and Loans to Higher Education Students.
    70% of the entire student scholarship is paid to the student during his/her education and 30% is paid according to the student's participation certificate and success status.

How to Apply for Farabi Program?

1.Application Requirements

Students studying in the preparatory and first year of Associate Degree and Undergraduate programs, and students of Master's and Doctorate programs cannot benefit from this program for the preparatory and scientific preparation periods and the first semester they start their main education.
    The student must be an associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral student in higher education programs providing formal education.
    For application, the GPA must be 2.00/4.00 or 53.33/100 for Associate and Undergraduate students.
    For Master's or Doctoral students, it must be 2.5/4.00 or 65/100.
    In order to be a Farabi Student, the foreign language threshold will be applied if the program you are studying in provides education in a foreign language.

    Students who will apply for the Farabi Program should apply by considering the quotas of the Bilateral Protocols valid for the academic year they will apply.

Mevlana Exchange Program

The Department of History has been using the Mevlana Student Exchange Program since 2014. Our students did not benefit from this exchange during the application period. In the previous semester, our student Ozan Köklünar went to Kazakhstan and benefited from the exchange.

Information on Mevlana Exchange Program Student Exchange

Within the scope of the Mevlana Exchange Program, associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students enrolled in formal education programs in all higher education institutions in Turkey (higher education institutions that have signed the Mevlana Exchange Program Protocol) can participate in student exchange.

The basic conditions for being a Mevlana Exchange Program student can be grouped under several headings:

    The student must be an associate, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student enrolled in higher education programs where formal education is provided,
    Associate and undergraduate students must have a GPA of at least 2.5 (two and a half) out of 4 (four),
    Master's and doctoral students must have a GPA of at least 3 (three) out of 4 (four),
    50% language score + 50% Grade Point Average Students studying in the preparatory and first year of associate and undergraduate programs, and master's and doctoral students in the preparatory and scientific preparation periods cannot benefit from this program for the first semester they start their main education.
